Friday assembly at North Branch School features students sharing about a variety of topics they have been studying. From research projects to music, there is always information or inspiration to be gleaned from these offerings. Book Buddy pairs sit together and learn to be a good audience, while presenters get practice speaking or performing in front of a friendly audience. And while Friday assembly may not launch everyone on the path to a Broadway career, we do have an alum who has been in several productions on and off Broadway!
During assembly on February 9, 2024, Early Primary proudly showed their art projects to those gathered. As a follow-up to our January intention of placing our feet on a path to kindness, Middle Schoolers shared “In the Steps of RBG,” a poem by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, which includes the line “May every step be toward a bridge.” Music took center stage next with Middle School performing “Clouds” on hand chimes, a recorder group playing “We Shall Overcome,” and NBS chorus singing “The Vine and Fig Tree.”
