SPANISH LANGUAGE & CULTURE TEACHER:
North Branch School is seeking an engaging and passionate Spanish language & culture teacher to join our staff. A successful candidate should possess conversational and written Spanish skills, and the ability to interact and teach a wide range of students and activities. In addition, the Spanish teacher is responsible for curriculum development and implementation.
In grades preschool through fourth grade students primarily learn through song, dance, poetry and performance, and basic conversational Spanish. Grades fifth through eighth also learn through experiences, and have the added written component and light homework assignments. NBS’s Spanish program focuses on progressive Spanish ability with a desire for students to be conversational and fluent, with a strong understanding of grammar by eighth grade.
The position could be either full time or part time dependent on the applicant. The full time position would be for four or five days per week and teach grades preschool through eighth grade. The part time position would be for two or three days per week and teach preschool through fourth grades.
