St. George and the Dragon, Friday, December 21st …‘Tis the season when dragons and giants take center stage. We hope to see all Preschool families at the 1:30 PM performance.
Preschool & Early Primary Please arrive at RVCC by 1:15 if you plan to sing before the 1:30 performance. They will NOT sing in the evening. We hope to see the whole group at 1:15 PM, if you cannot attend, please let Susan & Genevieve know.
Primary Blue (Krista) & Primary Yellow (Jen T.) & Juniors –parents please bring students with a lunch to RVCC at 10:30 to rehearse for the 1:30 performance. After the 1:30 performance, parents take children home then return to RVCC at 6:40 for the evening performance. Primary Yellow & Junior students will perform at 1:30 & 7pm. We’d love to have Primary Blue attend the evening performance, please let Krista know if your child will not perform in the evening performance.
Please remember to look for the donation basket for the Naomi Scherr Memorial Scholarship Fund at the entrance during both performances of “St. George.” Naomi’s mother started this fund after Naomi, a former NBS student, and her father lost their lives during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks. There is no charge for the performance – it is the students’ gift to their families and our community – but we hope you will place something in the basket to honor the memory of a girl with a charming smile, an insatiable curiosity, and a kind heart.
If this is highlighted if you signed up to help with St. George. Check with Autum about how you can help. Thanks! The sign up sheet is on Autum’s office door.
There will be lots of hauling props and costumes back and forth from RVCC and NBS-if you are coming back by NBS on Friday night, please consider helping us bring items back-Thanks!!!
Many thanks to all who voted for NBS in the “Private School-Elementary category and named us a CharlottesvilleFamily Favorite!
Many thanks to the crafters and shoppers at the Holiday Craft Fair last Friday! It was a fun day filled with beautiful and whimsical items, some of which are still available on the table across from Autum’s office.
Please check the LOST & FOUND on the table of the main building porch. All Lost & Found items will DISAPPEAR and be donated over the winter break if not picked up. Thanks!
If you have children’s books for any age that are in good shape and need a new home, please bring them to the donation box in the front hall. They will help fill the Free Book Bus, a nonprofit created by former NBS parent Sharon Stone, to get books into the hands of area children.
