On Wednesday, the Seniors (5th-6th) went to the Fralin Art Museum in Charlottesville to look at several exhibits. They each chose a piece of art that inspired them and took notes on it. They will turn those notes into a finished story or poem that will be entered in the annual Writer’s Eye Competition. The class had lunch on the Lawn and took a tour of the architecture around the UVA Grounds. Students identified Greek column styles, saw several statues, and visited Edgar Allen Poe’s room.
Back at school, Wednesday Group was very busy in the woods. Here are some pictures of the day.
