I came in early yesterday to photograph the wonderful Valentine’s boxes that students put in the Big Room. They are amazingly creative – the smallest students make bags decorated with art and pictures. The older students get very serious about their boxes – some of them play music and operate by remote control. Designs range from pizza slices to shoes to safes to characters from video games. Yesterday the temperatures were in the 60s, and both Jessie’s and Jon’s classes were outside enjoying the weather. Jessie’s students were playing with a giant parachute, and Jon’s Seniors were playing ultimate Frisbee (until the Frisbee shattered) and running relays.
