Middle School Election Issues Forum

November 2, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Students are researching issues they chose as being important to them. Their goal is to present three parties’ views on the issues  so that voters can be informed on Election Day.

Here are what the students are researching and will be ready to talk about:

Immigration
Equal Rights (includes both race and gender)
LGBTQ+ Rights
the Environment
Climate Change
Gun Control
the Economy
Abortion
Health Care
Race in America

Forum will be held outdoors. Each student will have a table with information from all three parties and will be able to answer questions based on their research.  (Two of our students will join us online and will be available through a Google Meet on the screen.) Guests are welcome to visit all of the tables, take home handouts to look at later, ask questions, and learn as much as they can.  We ask that all guests be masked and allow there to be one guest (or two if they are together) at a table at a time.

A teacher will help control the number of adults visiting the tables so that we do not get too crowded.
