North Branch Middle School and Senior students received a Teaching Tolerance Education Grant for a Path to Peace project. Over several weeks, students and their advisory teachers brainstormed ideas for images and quotations that inspire, recognize diversity, equality and promote tolerance and peace. The groups then sketched out ideas and later, painted them on stones to form a path around NBS’s garden. Middle School students also took representations of each stone to Washington D.C. and left them at memorial sites for visitors to discover. Check out this video of the process!
