Joy and health to you all summer long!

Graduation 2026

The school community and family and friends gathered on May 29 to wish each other joy and health all summer long and to pay tribute to the Class of 2026 as they graduated from 8th grade at North Branch School. It was a lovely evening filled with songs and inspiring words. Below are a few of those words from the graduates’ speeches. Following these quotes are wonderful photos of the program and ceremony. Many thanks to Stephanie Gross Photography for capturing the spirit of the evening. (Remember to click on individual photos to see them full size.)

[T]his school has really taught me to be respectful and kind to others. It’s an incredibly welcoming place and I’m grateful to all the teachers who have helped me get to where I am now. ~ Althea

I can’t really explain how much of a better person I have become since I came here, but in every aspect of my life I have improved tenfold. I have accomplished things that a few years ago I would have thought impossible. ~ Duncan

It feels so sad yet so exciting to be graduating from NBS. I’ve been in North Branch since the beginning of 4th grade and I could not be more grateful for all the love and support I’ve felt through the years. So many of my fond core memories are connected to this school. From meeting my best friends, to learning that it’s okay to be confused or want to ask questions. Everyone here has helped me realize who I should be in this world and that even one person can make a change for the better. I’ve learned to stand up for myself, communicate, and feel confident in my work. ~ Essa

I’ve had many of my previous teachers tell me that “your class is like your family.” This never felt true until I came here. Everyone here is so supportive of each other. It’s a great community, and I’m honored to be part of it. [St. George has] been the most magical experience for me. I’m so happy that I got to play my dream role, Mother Dolly, in my final year.  I’ll probably have “Young Riders” stuck in my head till I graduate college. ~ Mabel

I started in third grade, and I know that coming here was one of the best decisions I ever made. [W]hen I came to North Branch, people were immediately inviting. And I had my sister, which was and still is amazing. ~ Natalia

Training wild mustangs has always been a dream of mine and is definitely something I am doing through adulthood. I think, because of North Branch, I was able to find what I want to do this early in life. Because they show you how to believe in yourself and that, if you want something,  it’s not just going to happen if you sit there and don’t try.  If you try you can make it happen. ~ Phoebe

This school is a very unique place, and I am grateful for all the kind teachers and students. I will miss you even though my time here was short. ~ Reuben

From everyone at NBS to our graduate who was traveling and not able to attend the ceremony: Best wishes! We will miss you, Signe!
