Middle School Play 2024

It’s hard to describe a play that features Squirmy, The Musical Tapeworm! Like many (all?) plays by Don Zolidis, a playwright our Middle Schoolers enjoy, there was mayhem, there was silliness, and in this case there was murder. (Spoiler alert: the tapeworm did it!) Set in the questionable Burgatorium restaurant, “Employees Must Wash Hands… Before Murder,” performed by the North Branch Middle Schoolers on March 28th at Rapunzel’s Books & Coffee in Lovingston, was fast-paced (unless you were a customer placing an order) and hilarious. Performing a comedy might look easy, but it takes lots of hard work and commitment to character to pull it off. Kudos, Middle Schoolers, for a fabulous and funny show, even with the unexpected plot twist of a power outage during the afternoon performance. You’ll see from the photos that the show did, indeed, go on!

Many thanks to Coe Sweet Photography for getting these amazing images, despite the low light!
