Joy & health to you all summer long!

#GivingTuesday 2022

You answered the call to light up minds and spark ideas at North Branch School! Thank you!

Because of YOU, NBS met and exceeded our goal, receiving $12,000 in matching donations, and also bringing in a grand total – gifts, pledges, and matches – of over $40,000!!!

During #GivingTuesday NBS received 143 gifts. The breakdown is below. (The totals add up to more than 143 because some people fit into more than one category. Staff members who donated fit into one or more of the categories below, so are not listed separately.)

  • 41 Parents/Families
  • 53 Friends of the school and former families
  • 36 Grandparents
  • 13 Alumni
  • 7 Board members (100% participation!)
  • 7 matching donations
  • 2 opportunities for corporate matches
  • 1 student who brought her own money for the day

 Many thanks to

  • YOU, our loyal and generous donors
  • those who inspired us through their matching donations
  • those who shared their thoughts on “Why I Give to NBS”
  • Shady’s Place for covering online fees for the day so that 100% of your gift supported the students and teachers of NBS
  • Local prize donors – Blue Mountain Brewery, Blue Ridge Pig, Crozet Winter Brews Festival, the Crandall Family (Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company gift card), and Trager Brothers Coffee

Did the day slip by you? North Branch School gratefully accepts donations every day of the year.
Venmo us @NorthBranchAftonVA

I give to NBS because I know that donation will give the same chance and experience that I had to other kids. There is a large amount of good in me that I can attribute to North Branch and the teachers and leaders that helped me become who I am today. The successes in my life were seeds planted while I went to school at NBS, and I contribute to let the legacy of the school live on and impact people in the way it has me. The world needs innovative minds to think through the complex issues we have ahead, and North Branch creates an environment which unlocks a way of learning not found in most places.           Matt Thomas, ‘99
