Writer’s Eye Field Trip

North Branch 5th-8th graders are participating in Writer’s Eye, an educational program of the Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia. While the 5th and 6th graders toured the Writer’s Eye collection virtually, the Middle School class was able to see the art in person. Each student will create an original piece of prose or poetry based upon artwork from the curated Writer’s Eye collection. Those who wish to do so may submit their writing to the annual competition; however, the process of viewing the art and creating a written piece inspired by it is a complete experience on its own.  This fabulous opportunity provided by the Fralin has been a favorite field trip and writing exercise for North Branch students for many years.

Many thanks to Coe Sweet Photography for capturing this Middle School field trip.
