Dear North Branch Families,
There are two pieces of good news to report. First, metrics nationally are trending down, and locally, while numbers are still high, particularly in Nelson, Waynesboro, and Augusta, the trend is downward. Second, North Branch staff members have received the first of their two vaccinations, will receive the second shot on or about February 27, and those vaccines will have taken full effect by March 15.
Therefore, we are announcing the following plan:
– We will remain virtual through Friday March 12.
– Beginning Monday March 15, our intention is for students in Pre-school through Seniors to be in person as much as possible.
– Beginning Monday March 15, Middle School will resume full day in-person classes.
We hope that you, like the Board and staff, can see that we have a hopeful path going forward, and that with some additional weeks of care and caution, we will once again welcome your children back to a more normal North Branch School world. We value immensely your patience and perseverance as together we have navigated this difficult year.
