The seniors and middle schoolers (and of course, the teachers) are thrilled with the spacious, bright new building. We were fortunate to have a gorgeous first week – clear skies and temperatures in the 70s – so the students were able to enjoy the outside as they settled back into the routines of school.
The first field trips of the year are being planned now. Some of the places students will be visiting are: Afton Mountain to watch the hawk migration, Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm, Drumhellers’ apple orchard and a working organic cattle farm run by a NBS school family. We also had a visit last week from representatives of our sister school in Sipascancha, Peru – more on that in a later post.
