NBS Students Create Art for Senior Citizens

North Branch School is partnering with The Hospice of the Piedmont to bring a smile to senior citizens in area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. These seniors cannot have visitors, so, to brighten their day, the children are creating artwork and greetings. After making the art at home, they or their parents take a photo to send via email to Hospice. The Hospice coordinators print the greetings to share with seniors all over the area. This means that rather than a single drawing going to one person, each child’s artwork will reach many elders in facilities. During a time when we all want to do something to help, this is a meaningful way to say “We are all in this together, even though we are apart.”
