Writer’s Eye Award Winning Story

Julian Skaggs treated the Friday assembly audience to a reading of his exceptional story “Tendrils of Time.” His work was selected for a 2nd place award in 6-8th grade prose, in the  highly competitive literary competition put on by The Fralin Museum of Art at UVa. Each year North Branch Students travel to the museum to hear about certain works of art, selecting one to write about in either poetry or prose. Congratulations, Julian, AND congratulations to his teacher, Katrien Vance, for her 3rd place award for prose in the adult category! NOTE: The descriptions in the story can paint a somewhat scary picture for younger students.
