Normally, I like to post things chronologically, but I can’t resist putting this video up. Special thanks to Deana Tipler for filming this and giving me a copy so that I can share it here. Below, you see the 7th and 8th graders, with their teachers and chaperones, diving into the marsh muck on Smith Island in Maryland. This trip teaches the students to love ALL parts of the Bay! The program staffers, Paige and Megan, are wearing the crazy hat and wig at the edge and cheering everyone on. The instructions were to jump in, turn around three times, belly flop, army crawl and do the backstroke.
