The NBS community ROCKED #GivingTuesday!
On December 3, 149 donors from 28 states contributed to NBS, bringing the day’s total, including $10,000 in matching donations – to over $27,000!!!! Many thanks to all who contributed and/or shared information to bring in gifts from other states, the Juniors for mapping our donations, The Virginian Hotel & LockN’ Festival for offering prizes, David & Elizabeth Ferrall for covering online processing fees for the day, and our matching donors who provided an incentive of $10,000: Anonymous, Bart Biggs, Ellen Bouton, Smith Coleman, Peter Coy, Lily Garcia-Walton & Chip Walton, Reid & Katie Harris, Ian & Aaron Kelly, and Becky Lindsay!
Here’s the breakdown of gifts on #GivingTuesday: 58 Friends and Former Families, 44 Current Families, 29 Grandparents, 17 Alums (plus several alums already included in the parent count)), and 1 student. And FYI, 100% of the NBS Board of Trustees gave on Tuesday.
A few of the gifts on #GivingTuesday were designated for specific funds, but the overwhelming majority of gifts were for either the Annual Fund or the Grandparents’ Fund and the Alumni Fund, which are subsets of the Annual Fund. We are well on our way to reaching our goals of 100% Family participation and $60,000 in contributions to the Annual Fund during the 2019-2020 school year.
